The Post Train is a magazine story.
Plot[]
Percy has many lots jobs on The Fat Controller's railway but there is one special train he enjoys taking the most; the post train. At night, the postmen sort all the post in a big sorting office and the bags are loaded into trucks. Some post is also transported by boat to or from the mainland.
Percy always works as quickly as he can during the night so he can have plently of time to sleep in his shed before his first train in the morning. One night, however, the boat full of mainland post is late.
Percy begins to grow tired as he waits and nearly falls asleep but the boat soon arrives, hours later. Percy tries his best to make up for lost time, but the morning sun is already rising once he arrives back at the yard. Duck is surprised to see Percy in the yard so early but Percy corrects him by saying he is just getting back from taking his post train.
