The Railway Stories Volume 2 is a record/cassette/CD release. When it was originally released in 1972 by Decca, it contained eight stories from The Railway Series, narrated by Johnny Morris. When it was released as a CD in 2007 by BBC Audio, it contained thirteen Railway Series stories narrated by Michael Angelis. The same thirteen stories were featured on the Hungarian CD narrated by Zoltán Csankó released in 2008.

Goofs
- Emily is mentioned in Engine Roll Call despite not being a character in the Railway Series.
- On the 2007 recording of Gordon's Whistle, Gordon's whistle toots repeatedly instead of letting out one long whistle sound.
