The Royal Train was a special train for transporting the British Royal Family.
History[]
Queen Elizabeth II used the Royal Train to visit the Island of Sodor. Henry was supposed to pull it, but after an accident involving a painter on a ladder, Gordon was given the job instead, with Edward running ahead as a pilot to clear the line.[1]
When Thomas and Sir Topham Hatt visited London for an award ceremony, Duchess was pulled the Royal Train, but broke down after forgetting to check her safety valves. Thomas subsequently helped push her the rest of the way to Victoria Station, not realising he was helping the Royal Train until Sir Topham Hatt noticed Duchess' crest at the station.[2]
