The Sleepy Passenger is a magazine story.
Plot[]
Thomas greatly enjoys working on his branch line with Annie and Clarabel and the passengers always enjoy themselves.
Sometimes, Thomas' last train ends as it begins to get dark. Once the journey has finished, Thomas leaves Annie and Clarabel in a siding and the guard checks over the coaches one last time, putting anything he finds left behind in the left luggage office.
One night, however, the guard is in a rush and does not do a thorough job of inspecting the coaches. Annie ends up having a difficult time sleeping that night due to what she believes to be Clarabel snoring, something Annie has never known her to do.
In the morning, a voice calls out "What's going on?". This leaves Annie and Clarabel very confused and begin they arguing about which of them is saying things. The stationmaster comes over to see what all the noise is when suddenly, one of Clarabel's doors opens and a man steps out. It turns out the man had fallen asleep on the train last night and the guard had overlooked him!
