The Slowest Race in the World is the seventeenth episode of the third series of Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go.
Plot
When Thomas, Kana and Diesel "race" to see who can go the slowest, their lack of speed provides lots of challenges.

- This episode marks four things:
- The first All Engines Go episode in which Frederico appears without Farona.
- Harold's only appearance in the third series.
- The first All Engines Go episode to have one twin character appear without the other and the first time to do so since the original series episode, Dowager Hatt's Busy Day.
- The final episode written by Noelle Wright.
Goofs
- The turntable at Tidmouth Sheds is missing and is replaced with cross tracks.
- There are some errors during the traffic jam:
- In one scene, James blows his whistle, but no steam emerges from it.
- In another scene, he blows his whistle again, but no sound is heard.
- James is seen pulling a boxcar. But when the traffic jam begins, it is missing, and in the next last shots of him, it reappears again.
- Carly's horn can be heard, but she is nowhere to be seen and despite her not appearing in the episode.
- When Percy passes through the other engines, James has four boiler bands instead of three and Henry is missing his headlamp.
- In one scene, James blows his whistle, but no steam emerges from it.
- In the US credits, Talia Evans and Glee Dango are credited for voicing Nia and Sandy, despite them not having any speaking roles.
