Trivia

• On David Mitton's maps of Sodor, the Watermill is placed on the line to New Harbour west of Hackenbeck and is situated next to the River Tid. The Sam Wilkinson map of Sodor places it along the passenger line north-east of Elsbridge, along the River Callan.
• Despite being on Thomas' Branch Line, Main Line engines like Henry and Gordon can be seen passing by the Watermill in some episodes and promotional stills.
• The Watermill and its bridge were loosely inspired by Daniels Mill along the Severn Valley Railway.
