Thomas Fritsch (born 16th January 1944 in Dresden; died on 21st April 2021) was a German actor, voice actor and pop singer who provided voices for the German version of Thomas and the Magic Railroad and the German audiobooks.

He was known for appearing in various German films and television shows, including Adorable Julia, Der Kommissar, Derrick, and Rivalen der Rennbahn.

As a voice actor, he was best known for providing the German voices of Scar from The Lion King, Joe from Help I'm A Fish, Steele from Balto, Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia films, Bonejangles from Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, Diego from Ice Age, Dr. Delbert Doppler from Treasure Planet, Goliath and Thailog from Gargoyles, Garrick Ollivander from the Harry Potter films, Luke from the Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver cartoon, Nigel from Finding Nemo, Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda, and he has been the occasional voice of actors such as Russell Crowe, Jeremy Irons, William Hurt, Tim Curry and John Hurt.

He was suffering from dementia and retired in 2018 with his narration of the Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver-film being his last major role, although he returned briefly for the 2020 sequel Jim Button and the Dragon of Wisdom to voice the narrator one more time. He was living in an Old People's Home until he died on 21st April at the age of 77.

He was also the son of late German actor Willy Fritsch.
