  • The character profiles section shown in press releases contains a few differences from the final release:
    • A different shot of Dübs is used.
    • Seizo is referred to as "Engine 223", presumably as his fictional name had not been finalised by that point.
  • Despite the book being a Thomas & Friends tie-in book, silhouettes of Thomas' new design from Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go appear in the patterns on the book's rear cover.
