Thomas On Own Rails is the second German audiobook.
Plot[]
Thomas On Own Rails[]
Thomas, the bright blue steam locomotive, has learned from his mistakes and keeps doing is work at Knapford station better. The boss, the Fat Controller, is aware of that and he makes Thomas' long wished dream come true: He gets his own branch line with own coaches!
James and the Shoelace Affair[]
After his accident, James seemed to be rather more vain and cocky and have not learned that much. Instead of caring for his work, he rather wants to be admired by everyone and vainly puffs steam clouds around him. That causes a lot of complications and ends with a funny shoelace affair...

Trivia[]
- The stories are based on Thomas and the Breakdown Train, Thomas and the Guard, James and the Coaches and Troublesome Trucks.
- However, instead of pulling a goods train, James just shunts some trucks and it is only said that he and Edward are going to pull a goods train.
- Thomas breaks the fourth wall several times when he talks to the narrator.
- Sometimes, the engines call the Fat Controller "Sir" (like in the eighth series onwards), and sometimes they call him "Chef" (like in the first to fifth series).
- Instrumental snippets from Thomas and Gordon are heard in both stories.
