Thomas Train Set Compilation Video Volume 3 is a New Zealand VHS featuring one first series episode and three second series episodes narrated by Ringo Starr and one third series episode narrated by George Carlin. It was released by Roadshow Entertainment in association with The Warehouse and Tomy for a promotional offer.
Episodes
- James and the Coaches - James bangs the coaches by being too rough, and brings the train to a stop. The passengers get home only after a piece of ingenious repair work by the guard.
- Percy and the Signal - Percy is enjoying playing tricks on the big engines but Gordon and James plan to get the little green engine in trouble.
- A Close Shave - Duck has a chase with runaway trucks and pays a surprise visit to a barber's shop.
- Thomas Gets Bumped - Bertie helps out while Thomas waits for new rails to be laid on his branch line. Thomas is needlessly jealous.
- Wrong Road - Edward suggests Gordon runs on a branch line for a change. Proud Gordon, the main line engine refuses until one day he travels on a branch line by mistake.
Trivia
- The cover art is almost identical to that of the previous volume, the only difference being that the new Thomas & Friends logo is used.
- The front cover and spine feature an image from Toby's Discovery.
- Unlike the previous two volumes, the tape opens with the second half of the nameboard sequence leading into James and the Coaches.
Goofs
- The VHS label is labelled as "Thomas Compilation Volume 3".
- David Mitton is misspelt as David Mitten.
- During the end credits of James and the Coaches, the audio becomes muffled twice before going back to normal.
- The ending nameboards for Percy and the Signal is slightly cut off resulting in an abrupt black screen for a few seconds.
- The last few seconds of the end credits to Wrong Road are cut off.
