Thomas and Gordon Off the Rails is a book featuring two stories of The Railway Series combined. It was later re-illustrated using My First Thomas-style illustrations.
This book is adapted from the stories Off the Rails and Down the Mine from Gordon the Big Engine.
Stephen Lings' illustrations are based on Clive Spong's illustrations and the last page of the illustration is similar to C. Reginald Dalby.
Goofs
In the first version of this book, Gordon, James and Thomas are missing their eyebrows in some illustrations. This error is not present in the Korean version of the book, with the missing eyebrows being added to all illustrations with this error.
In the seventh illustration, Gordon is missing his tender.
Gordon is depicted as a 4-6-0 in the twenty-third image.
