Thomas and the Baby is a magazine story.
Sir Topham and Lady Hatt are assigned to take care of her friend's baby, Tina, as she is going to the hospital for a check up. On her absence, Tina's constant crying gives them a headache as they tried everything to calm her down.
Later that day, Sir Topham Hatt decides to take Tina to see the trains, which will hopefully cheer her up. But with Thomas' loud whistle, he is unsure that the decision would work. In the end however, as Thomas quietly chuffs along his Branch Line, Tina falls asleep and Sir Topham Hatt praises him for being the best baby-minder on Sodor.
- When Thomas calms Tina down with his puffing is similar to the nineteenth series episode Thomas the Babysitter.
