Thomas and the Circus (German: Thomas und der Zirkus) is the tenth German audiobook.
Plot[]
The Circus Is Coming[]
Everyone on Sodor is excited. Thomas, the steam engines and even the Fat Controller cannot wait: The circus is coming to Sodor! Thomas can pull the colourful circus wagon from the docks over the entire island. Pretty heavy for a singe steam locomotive! James, Gordon and all the others would like to help him, but Thomas believes he can do it on his own! Will this end well?
Thomas and Toby Show Everyone![]
Toby, the steam tram made out of wood, is send to do heavy shunting jobs. Later on, he even has to help the big Gordon out of trouble and pull an entire express train over the hill. Thomas does not have it easy either: The "difficult bend" is causing him trouble. But the friends encourage each other and prove that they can work just as hard as the big engines!

Trivia[]
- The stories are based on the eighth series episodes Thomas and the Circus, Thomas Saves the Day and You Can Do It, Toby!
- Unlike the original episodes, the latter two stories take place at the same time.
- Sir Topham Hatt says that when he was a child, he wanted to become a circus director but became a railway director instead.
- At one point, James refers to Thomas as "Tommy".
- The brass band plays, among other pieces, "Drunken Sailor".
- Sometimes, the engines call the Fat Controller "Sir" (like in the eighth series onwards), and sometimes they call him "Chef" (like in the first to fifth series).
Goofs[]
- Salty is portrayed as a steam engine rather than a diesel engine, and is called a steam engine at one point.
- Andreas von der Meden's name is misspelt "v. d. Mehden" and Clarabel's as "Clarabelle".
- The description of The Circus Is Coming says that there is only one wagon for the circus, while in the actual story, it is an entire train.
- Similarly to the German translation of the fourth series onwards, Toby is occasionally referred to as a railcar.
