- The filedates of the DVD show that it was finished on May 24, 2007.
- This DVD features all the episodes as the later UK DVD The Spirit of Sodor with the exceptions of Thomas' Day Off and Skarloey the Brave. Those two episodes were instead included on Thomas and the Treasure, which otherwise features solely tenth series episodes.
- This is the first Anchor Bay Entertainment DVD to feature Series 9 episodes.
- Despite the episodes being from the ninth series, the titles are not read out loud. However, they were read out loud on PBS Kids airings. Thomas and the Rainbow and Thomas and the Statue had other DVD releases with their title cards read.
- Despite "Thomas and the Toy Workshop" being the focus of this DVD, it is actually the fourth episode on this DVD.
- This and Ultimate Christmas are the only US DVDs to have screeners from Anchor Bay Entertainment.
Goofs
- On the front cover, the platform of the toy factory is too far from the tracks. Also, the trucks behind Thomas appear to narrow gauge trucks edited with standard gauge chassis.
- Some copies of the Screener Disc plays the retail content for unknown reasons.[1]
- On the 2015 DVD disc and the double feature 2009 and 2015 back cover, the copyright date incorrectly says 2002 instead of 2007.
- On the double feature back cover, "Bonus DVD Game" is incorrectly called "DVD Rom Game."
- On the back cover, "Character Cube" is incorrected as "Character Gallery."
