Tomica (Japanese: トミカトーマス) is a die-cast Thomas & Friends range made by Takara Tomy in 2004. In 2012, a new range was made where the engines have couplings, rolling stock and a new track system.
Includes blue and cream coach, blue Troublesome Truck with logs, brown Troublesome Truck with gravel, red Troublesome Truck with barrels, Troublesome Van, fuel tanker, oil tanker and brake van.
Released for the 75th Anniversary of The Railway Series; based on The Adventure Begins; includes LBSC Thomas, black James, Annie and Clarabel.

In the old range all the characters had an IC chip called "α system" built in and it enabled them to talk.
The new range is equipped with couplings and can be connected.
The Express Coaches included with Gordon and Henry, and the Narrow Gauge-styled coach in the Thomas with Freight Cars pack are repainted Branch Line Coaches reused from Annie and Clarabel's models.
Tomica is also Thomas' name in Croatian and Bosnian.
The brake vans in the newer range are backwards.
Emily was the only female character to be released in the old range.
Diesel was the only diesel engine to be released in the old range.
