Trevor and the Cricket Team is a magazine story.
Plot[]
A cricket match is to take place at the vicarage orchard. When the cricket team captain comes to inspect the pitch, he demands that Trevor be removed, calling him an "old wreck" and stating that he will cancel the match if he isn't gone by the next day (despite the vicar's protests that he promised to let Trevor watch). Trevor is dismayed to hear the bad news, however understands that the match must be played to raise money for the children's hospital.
The next day, Jem Cole takes Trevor for a ride in the countryside to try and cheer him up. While out, Trevor sees a bus blocking the road. To Trevor's surprise, the cricket team captain steps off the bus and explains that they will not be able to get to the match since the bus has a flat tyre. Trevor then offers to take the team to their match, to which the captain reluctantly agrees.
When Trevor arrives at the vicarage, the captain thanks him and asks him to stay for the match as their lucky mascot. Trevor is happy and the cricket team win the match.
