"Are you sure the bones were delivered in the right order?"
"Most definitely... possibly."
"One hundred percent... maybe."
― Carly, Percy and Kana

Tyrannosaurus Wrecks is the thirty-first episode of the first series of Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go.

Plot[]

Thomas, Gordon and Diesel are clearing dirt from the Old Mines one day. Gordon tells them that something has been found under all that dirt. Thomas and Diesel are immediately excited and race down the mines, where they meet Sandy, who explains to them that the palaeontologists have found a dinosaur skeleton. Gordon soon comes down and explains that the bones are to be delivered to the Vicarstown Museum of History. Thomas and Diesel race back to the sheds and tell the others about the skeleton. Everyone heads to the mines but to their shock, the dinosaur is missing! Gordon tells the engines that the skeleton has been split into 5 parts, one for each engine: Thomas - the feet, Nia - the tailbone, Diesel - the ribs, Percy - the claws, and Kana - the head and jaws. Gordon tells the engines to stay in order. If they get out of order, Carly and Sandy will not know how to put the dinosaur together. Thomas does not listen though and the engines head to Vicarstown.

On the way there, the engines create a musical rhyme, "Feet, Tailbone, Ribs and Claws". When they finish singing, the engines race to Vicarstown, getting out of order on the way. Kana ends up first to Vicarstown, so Carly and Sandy start with the head and jaws. But, when they finish the skeleton, they realise it does not look like what it should. Carly and Sandy try again, to no avail. Percy suggests starting with the claws but again, to no avail. Gordon arrives and reminds the engines that he tried to tell them to stay in order. Sandy sighs, wishing there were instructions on how to build the dinosaur. This reminds Diesel of the spot where the dinosaur was in the first place. He and Kana go to the Old Mines and take a 'mental picture' of the area. When they get back, they both use their different mental pictures, to no avail.

Gordon, in frustration, tells them they have to be in the order they were originally. The engines remember their song and start practising it to make sure they are in the right order. The engines come back to the museum, where Carly and Sandy put the skeleton together correctly this time. Later, Sir Topham Hatt shows off the skeleton to the public and thanks the Biggest Adventure Club for their work. Suddenly, a tired out Diesel arrives with a new bone, which Sandy identifies as a tusk. The Biggest Adventure Club sets out on their next adventure, to find the rest of the woolly mammoth's bones.
