Tyrannosaurus Wrecks is a magazine story illustrated using images from the All Engines Go series.
Plot[]
One day, Diesel and Thomas are busy moving dirt at the Old Mine when Gordon calls them inside the cave to show them something amazing that had been found. They are quite worried about what they see until Sandy explains it is not a monster and that a palaeontologist had called it a dinosaur. Gordon says that the engines must take the Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton to Vicarstown Museum where it will be put on display. Diesel and Thomas excitedly rush back to the sheds to fetch their friends.
When the friends return to the Old Mine, the skeleton has been put onto trucks in pieces for them to pull. Gordon warns them to keep the parts in order as Sandy will need to rebuild the skeleton once they arrive at Vicarstown.
On their way to the museum, the engines sing a song about their loads. As they get nearer to Vicarstown, the engines are having so much fun that they forget about staying in order and start racing. By the time they arrive at their destination, the skeleton pieces are all muddled up and Sandy cannot figure out how to put it back together. Gordon tries to help and asks the engines if they remember the order they were originally lined up. The engines think hard and then they remember their song. They sing it and it reveals the order for Sandy to put the skeleton back together correctly.
