Tywyn Wharf is the first station on the Talyllyn Railway. It was here that Peter Sam was put on display during his visit to the railway after spraying water from his funnel.
Tywyn Wharf was originally only used for goods whilst Pendre was for passengers. The wharf was also originally called "King's Station" until 1915.
