Trivia
- They also released Big Idea's The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: a VeggieTales Movie, which was animated by Arc Productions, now called Jam Filled Toronto. Interestingly, the VeggieTales videos were distributed by HiT Entertainment from 2001 to 2002 and by Universal since 2018.
- They have also released DreamWorks Animation films on DVD since 2017. Some of these films include Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Rise of the Guardians, and The Boss Baby franchise, all of which Alec Baldwin has starred in. Additionally, they also released the film version of Dr. Seuss' The Cat in The Hat, which also featured Baldwin.
- On several of their digital and Blu-ray releases of Thomas DVDs and specials, the audio is at a lower pitch, likely due to conversion from PAL to NTSC speed.
- Universal is the final company to produce physical home media releases of the original Thomas & Friends series in the US and Canada, with the 10-Movie Birthday Collection being their final release to date. However, NCircle Entertainment started releasing DVDs for Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go in December 2021.
- On most re-releases of older Thomas & Friends DVDs, the Web Fun feature was removed due to drastic changes to the official website.
- Universal Studios Florida was opened to the public on June 7, 1990. This was the same day that the American home video releases of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends were launched with Thomas Gets Tricked and James Learns a Lesson.
