Upper Toryreck

Upper Toryreck^[1] (also known as Miner's Halt) is a small station north-east of Toryreck, used for transporting workers from the village to the coal mines. Near the station is a small village, water tower and a level crossing.

Trivia

The station building's model is reused from Dryaw station with its roof repainted and the canopy removed.
Two models of buildings at Miner's Halt were reused from:
- The mansion at Old Manor Station, with added windows.
- Sir Topham Hatt's Holiday House.
The station was given its name by former Railway Consultant Sam Wilkinson for his map of the Island of Sodor. In the show, the station and village was not named.
- On an earlier version of Sam Wilkinson's map from 2014, Upper Toryreck was named "Miner's Halt" and was located on a short branch line north-east of Wellsworth leading to the coal mines. This was retconned to its current location by the time of the Mark 11 version of the map.
