V-Tipper Wagons are a type of narrow gauge truck. They have skips in the centre which can be rotated around an axis to tip their loads.

Talyllyn V-Tipper Wagons[]

These V-Tipper Wagons are commonly used at the Blue Mountain Quarry on the Skarloey Railway.

Biography[]

The V-tipper wagons are some of the most used wagons at the Blue Mountain Quarry. They are often used to transfer slate into standard gauge North Western Railway trucks after being brought down to the transfer station by Owen. The V-tippers are also used to tip slate into mills.

The tipper trucks are based on the Talyllyn Railway's No. 55 V-tipper wagon.

Livery[]

The tipper trucks are painted grey with brown tippers.

The tipper trucks have no specific basis and are freelance designs created by illustrator, Tommy Stubbs. Although, the chassis is sourced from the GWR ventilated van flatbeds.
