There are many different types of vans (also sometimes referred to as trucks or cars) on Sodor, which are used to carry various kinds of goods. In the US, they are known as boxcars, which is generally the term used for large, eight-wheeled vans in All Engines Go, even in the UK dub. Brake cars are other types of vans that are used.
