Two Ventilated Bogie Vans were featured on Wilbert Awdry's OO gauge North Western Railway layout. The vans were used as part of the Morning Milk and the Flying Kipper.
Technical Details[]
Basis[]
The vans' bodies are based on LMS solid-sided six-wheeled ventilated vans, used for milk, meat and fish traffic. They have been modified with the addition of diamond frame bogies underneath, replacing the original wheels.
Livery[]
The vans are painted chocolate brown with light grey roofs. The letters "N W" are painted on their sides in yellow, one initial on each of the two sliding doors on both sides. Their numbers (53 on one van) are also painted on their sides in yellow.
