Trivia[]

  • Originally, the three tramway engines who run the line were going to be introduced in The Great Race, however this plotline was dropped.
  • Vickerstown, the town on which Vicarstown is based, was served by a tramway - The Walney line of the Barrow-in-Furness Tramways Company - from 1908 until the network closed in 1932. This may have served as the inspiration for the tramway in the television series.
  • It is unknown if the tramway was going to be a part of the North Western Railway or its own independent company.
  • Despite having areas cut out for the rails, the tramway itself does not have visible rails.
