Village Square

Main Page

Village Square is an area where the Skarloey Railway runs through the middle of a village. According to former Railway Consultant Sam Wilkinson's map of the Island of Sodor, it is located in the town of Cros-ny-Cuirn, just south-east of the station.

History

The village square has a tall clock tower, which Duncan once delivered a new bell to, as well as several small shops.^[1] An annual country show and engine rally are held here. During one such rally, a muddy Madge sprayed Skarloey and Rheneas. After the she and little engines got some very soapy washdowns, they participated in the rally.^[2]

Trivia

The prop used for the gazebo in the town was later reused at Great Waterton.
The clock tower was once on display at the Discover Thomas & Friends Exhibition, but is now in storage.
