Where, oh Where Is Thomas? is a song from The Great Discovery. It is also the final song composed by Ed Welch, and the last original song in the live-action model era, before the CGI switchover, not counting Thomas, You're the Leader.

- This song utilises some of the EMU Proteus instruments, which were heavily used by the original composers, Mike O'Donnell and Junior Campbell between the third and seventh series. This is also the last time those instruments were used.
- This song was never dubbed in Czech, Russian, Indonesian, Chinese Mandarin, Taiwanese Mandarin, nor Cantonese.
- The Russian dub of the special just plays the instrumental.
Goofs
- The date for the newspaper is Monday, March 24th, 1953. However, this date is incorrect, as March 24th, 1953 actually fell on a Tuesday.
- The official sing-along lyrics never included a comma at the end of the first "Where" or a question mark at the end for the line "Where oh where is Thomas", and also always puts a comma at the end of "So everyone is searching", besides the second chorus where that comma is supposed to be included.
